TAMARA CARLISLE, OWNER AND CO-FOUNDER

Tamara Carlisle combines her love of Central Texas charm and hospitality in the four unique properties located in Lockhart, TX. With more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, Tamara’s business ventures include Big Kids, Inc., the leading distribution company for independently produced children’s entertainment; Lights Out, Inc., Blair & Carlisle Homes, and Blairfield Realty. Partnering with Donna Blair, the pair have built and run several companies in Austin and Lockhart, most recently focusing on real estate, design and art.

Tamara’s artistry is clearly expressed through the design, layout and essence personified in the individualized styles of Commerce Gallery, The Carlisle, The Caroline and The Last House on Church Street. Tamara’s attention to detail has contributed to the vision for Nightbirds Hospitality, which focuses on elevating the experiences of visitors to Lockhart. With an art space on the town square and three rental homes within walking distance to the center, Tamara has helped curate luxurious spaces for visitors and locals alike.

DONNA BLAIR, OWNER AND CO-FOUNDER

A longtime patron of the arts, Donna Blair’s creativity is manifested across each of the properties that make up Nightbirds Hospitality. The natural progression from real estate to hosting properties and opening an art gallery began with the success of Donna’s central Austin business, Blairfield Realty. As the company grew, so did Donna’s talents, expanding from real estate sales and staging to real estate investments, then design and building. Looking to nest and design more permanent spaces, The Carlisle, The Caroline and The Last House on Church Street became extensions of Donna’s love of real estate and desire to curate spaces that are equally comfortable and polished.

An avid art collector, Donna was also interested in bringing the experience of an art show to Lockhart. Equipped with a network of contacts in the art industry and a vision for the space, Donna and Tamara opened Commerce Gallery to allow regional artists to gather, showcase their work and incite inspiration within the community. Donna’s passion for creativity is further personified by a thoughtfully curated thread of distinctive finishes that run throughout the properties that make up Nightbirds Hospitality. From the furniture to the hand-picked treasures picked up during travels, to the collection of books and art that line the walls and shelves of the properties, Donna’s eye for design is sharp, unique and tells a story.
